  1. Where to begin. As far as 12 oz cans/bottles I have Founders Breakfast Stout, Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barley Wine-style Ale, Revolution Anti-Hero IPA, Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye, and a personal favorite, Firestone Walker Double Jack. When it comes to big boy bombers I also have a few. These include Stone Double Bastard (Not a huge Stone fan, but I feel like I have to try all of their flavors just due to their huge reputation), 18th Street Brewery Seven, Pipeworks Something Hoppy, PW's classic Abduction (Loved the coffee break version), and the simple yet satisfying Pipeworks Standard Issue. Finally, and maybe most exciting, I have a single bomber of local homebrew artisan Chad Simeur's Mango Pale Ale. This is apparently a Citra-laden light fruity ale which I am very much looking forward to sharing with one particular beer obsessed friend of mine.

I also have a single can of Coors Lite to sate me when I get the DTs after drinking all these awesome brews.

  2. Sounds good!
I'd like to try Founders Breakfast Stout and Bigfoot. Double Jack is a really solid double IPA. Its one that I always pass up because I see it everywhere but its a great beer. Was actually disappointed with Something Hoppy. Really oniony. I think I'm just not a fan of Sorachi Ace hops.

Was going to pick up a bottle of Abduction (batch 100) yesterday but didn't pull the trigger. My dad ended up getting a bottle though so I'm gonna try that next weekend. Me and Angie went to the Bavarian Lodge in Naperville yesterday. I was pretty excited because they had a Goose Island tap takeover with their Bourbon County stouts. Of course they had tapped out on every single one by the time I got there. They had a cherry rye stout that sounded awesome. Was pretty bummed I didn't get to try it. The waitress said that it was gone after like 10 minutes. Ridiculous.
